The Role of Technology in the 21st Century Education

Technology brought significance in human’s life and in the world. It provides useful information that is essential and makes the work easy. In this ever changing world, people must adapt its changes and learn to deal with it. In this sense, technology must empower individual to accomplish and creating information, which is prevalent in workplace.
As years pass by, more researcher, more inventor, more technologies arouse. In this manner, the 21st century education system requires broad and intensive use of technology for better results not only for the students but also to those who are in the business-trade. As I observe, nowadays people are craving to have a computer or laptop since it is very useful to the students and all people in this industry because all paper works are be done through computer, that how technology useful in everyday living. In addition, technology enables people to communicate, learn, share, collaborate and create, to think and solve problems, to manage their work. In education, the use of technology is narrowly conceived. Right now, schools use technology primarily as a tool for developing students’ computer and internet skills. In modern times, technologies are used widely by everyone because it diverse opportunities for learners, students develop new ideas and it allows student interaction. Moreover, the students are more interested in the subject if it is about dealing with computer or any gadgets for the reason that they’re able to detect or understand the main point of a certain topic easily. Basically, technology is somewhat the replacement of a teacher if he or she is not around since the students nowadays are too aggressive when it comes in technologies or gadgets which they able to find the easy answers for their assignments, projects, and so on. In contrast, technology has also a bad impact to the students, for instance, the students are become addicted to it and the result, and they were not able to enter their class and prefer to go to the internet café. Also, they merely depend on the computer or other technologies wherein they no longer used their mind and capabilities to think critically.
Thus, technology is a catalyst for improvement if one knows how to use it in a good way and it offer the greatest new learning opportunities.
